Summer Adventures!

About a month ago, I arrived home from school for the summer. Since then, I have had lots of time to cab and plan out what I want for the shop. I have also had an incredible opportunity to go on a trip to California for about a week - which I just got back from! So far this summer has been great and I am excited to share some of the details with you!

Last week I went on an incredible trip to California. The trip was initiated because my favorite band was playing two very special shows in Santa Cruz and Fresno. The shows were outstanding! Of course, we did WAY more than go to these two shows! I was able to see the beautiful redwoods, see the ocean, hike in Yosemite, go jet skiing, stay in the mountains, see some incredible wildlife (the birds there are SO cool!), and, of course, explore some local rock shops! I honestly could not tell you what my favorite part was. However, I can definitely tell you that I was EXHAUSTED when I got back home after a 9-hour overnight layover in Vegas!! I had an amazing time and I am so excited to show off some crazy pictures I took!

Now that I am back home, I can keep working on cabbing - and even more exciting, start working on collections! For the past year, I have been focused on cutting a wide variety of cabs for every batch released. Now I want to start focusing on cutting and releasing specific groups of materials at a time. For example, I could do a batch of Mooka. Or I could do batches with two types of materials such as Blue Mountain Jasper and Imperial Jasper. That is not what I am currently working on (that I am keeping a surprise until it is finished!) - but I certainly can and most likely will soon! I am really excited to be experimenting with this. And as always, if anyone ever has any specific requests, I would be thrilled to work with you!
